About

Created in my tiny stone-built studio next to the Red River in Nancledra, Cornwall, my work is inspired by the Cornish landscape and its beautiful harmony. Immersed in nature, the pieces reflect the contrast between the deep, green woodlands and moors of the West Country and the vast, open beaches and cliffs that surround them.

Every piece is handmade and designed by me here at the studio.

Charlotte is a self-taught ceramicist interested in simple living and traditional craftsmanship. Her works are everyday objects that are made to last a lifetime. From her beautiful studio on the river's edge in Nancledra, Cornwall, she designs and makes pieces inspired by the Cornish landscape and the contrast between its wild, unforgiving ruggedness and the peace and harmony it embodies. Charlotte's focus is on the connection with raw materials as a way to employ our connection to nature and, ultimately, to one another.

Charlotte has a background in painting and discovered her love of ceramics in 2021. Since then her days have been filled with throwing, designing, and building up her studio. She uses a variety of techniques, from wheel throwing to slab building to Kurinuki (a Japanese technique you can read about here).

Kiln openings happen three to four times a year, when you’ll find unique new Kurinuki pieces alongside the core collection.
